Short version
- We do not ask you for an account, an email address, a name, or anything else.
- We do use a small set of strictly necessary cookies (Joomla session) and standard server access logs.
- When you click an affiliate link (Tripadvisor, Get Your Guide, Stay22, Kayak, Booking, etc.), the destination site sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Those are not ours.
- If you contact us, we keep your message only as long as we need it to reply.

Who runs this site
GetOutAlready.com is operated from Norway and falls under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act (personopplysningsloven). The data controller is the operator of weblio.no. For questions about your data, use the contact page.
What we collect automatically
Like every website on the internet, the web server records each request. The log entry contains your IP address, the URL you requested, the time, your browser's User-Agent string, and the referring page (if any). These logs are kept for up to 30 days, used only for security and debugging, and are not linked to any identity.
The legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(f) - legitimate interest in keeping the site running and defending it against attacks.
Cookies we set
On a fresh visit, GetOutAlready.com itself sets at most one cookie: a Joomla session cookie used to keep the page rendering correctly. It is a session cookie (deleted when you close the browser) and contains no personal data. Under GDPR, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, or any third-party analytics. We do not embed YouTube, Twitter, or Instagram widgets on regular destination pages.
What happens when you click an affiliate link
The site links out to several travel partners. The most common are:
- Tripadvisor - for attractions and reviews
- Get Your Guide - for bookable tours and experiences
- Stay22 (wrapping Booking.com, Agoda, Expedia, Hotels.com, Vrbo, and similar) - for accommodation
- Kayak AI - for the AI trip prompts
When you click any of these links, you leave GetOutAlready.com and the destination site applies its own privacy policy and cookies. We may receive a small commission if you book through that link. We do not see, store, or have access to your booking, your payment information, or your personal details. The transaction is between you and the booking site.
The Stay22 integration on this site uses their LetMeAllez script, which rewrites our hotel links into commission-tracked URLs and sets a small tracking cookie scoped to *.stay22.com when you click. This cookie is governed by Stay22's privacy policy.
What happens when you contact us
If you write to us via the contact page, we receive your message and (if you chose to include it) your email address. We use it only to reply. We do not add you to a mailing list - there is no mailing list. We delete the conversation when it's resolved, typically within 90 days.
What we do not do
To be explicit:
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
- We do not profile you for advertising.
- We do not run retargeting campaigns based on what you read.
- We do not embed third-party social trackers on destination pages.
- We do not use dark patterns to push a newsletter signup or app install.
Your rights under GDPR
If you live in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you (in practice, this is just your contact email if you wrote in)
- Have it corrected or deleted
- Object to processing
